J. Kavanaugh Tucker | Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Tucker serves as the managing member of Adelaide Capital Partners, LLC, and is responsible for the strategic direction and investment decisions for Adelaide Capital Real Estate Lending Fund, LP, a private debt fund offering bridge lending solutions for residential property owners. Mr. Tucker is also the Founder of Walton Funding, LLC, a retail mortgage originator in Rosemary Beach specializing in Conventional, Jumbo, and Non-QM lending.
Following his graduation from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Mr. Tucker began his career in investment banking with Credit Suisse. While at Credit Suisse, he served as Vice President of Fixed Income in the New York headquarters. Mr. Tucker moved on from Credit Suisse to found SouthCap Brokerage Group, LLC, a private client estate and business planning consulting firm, where he also served as its President and CEO. SouthCap was sold to Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) in 2017.
Mr. Tucker is committed to advancing childhood education and community impact. He has served as Board Chair of Essential 2 Life, a mentoring and leadership program for at-risk urban teens, and as Vice Chairman of Tree House Montessori School. He also served as Board Chair of Seaside Neighborhood School and as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Seaside School Foundation. In addition, he has supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of America through committee involvement. Mr. Tucker resides in Inlet Beach, Florida, with his wife, Celia, and their son, Huxley.
Matthew Carr | Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Carr is responsible for financial strategy, fund and corporate accounting, reporting, compliance, and oversight of financial operations for Adelaide Capital Partners, LLC and its funds and operating entities.
Mr. Carr brings over two decades of experience in accounting, financial strategy, and executive leadership. Prior to joining Adelaide, he served for 18 years as Chief Financial Officer of the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, where he led all aspects of financial planning and analysis, reporting, internal controls, and financial oversight for one of the largest resort properties on the Gulf Coast.
Mr. Carr began his career in public accounting with Rhea & Ivy (now Forvis Mazars) in Memphis, Tennessee, where he worked with clients across multiple industries providing audit and tax services. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and earned both a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Master of Taxation from the University of Mississippi’s Patterson School of Accountancy.
In addition to his role with Adelaide, Mr. Carr currently serves as a Board Member of the Northwest Florida State College Foundation and is a past Chair and current Treasurer of the Board of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce. Known for his analytical approach, steady leadership, and disciplined execution, he is passionate about helping organizations grow through sound financial management and strategic decision‑making. Mr. Carr lives in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, with his wife and son.
Charlie Carroll | Founding Advisor
Mr. Carroll is responsible for raising capital and managing investor relations for Adelaide Capital Partners, LLC and the Adelaide Capital Real Estate Lending Fund, LP. Mr. Carroll grew up in Dunwoody, GA and holds a degree in Economics and History from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Masters of Accounting from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management.
Mr. Carroll began his career as a CPA at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he supported public debt offerings, M&A transactions, and financial reporting for clients ranging from private companies to Fortune 500 firms.
Mr. Carroll subsequently moved into commercial real estate in an acquisitions capacity for Turnstone Group, a private equity-backed real estate investment manager, where he led the identification, underwriting, and execution of new investments alongside development oversight of existing assets. He later served as CEO of Turnstone’s sister company, Provadus Home Loans, directing the strategic direction and operations of the independent mortgage bank.
In addition to his role with Adelaide, Mr. Carroll currently manages the commercial real estate brokerage for Stratus Property Group, an Atlanta-based boutique commercial real estate firm. Outside of work, he volunteers in the youth program at his church, coaches youth sports, and attends Bible study. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Katie, and their children, Bennett and Corley.
George Garzon | Project Manager
Mr. Garzon supports the execution and oversight of the firm’s investment and development initiatives. In this role, he works closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects remain aligned with investment objectives and are delivered efficiently from planning through completion.
Prior to joining Adelaide, Mr. Garzon developed experience in real estate finance and development through roles with Silverwing Partners and Daniel Communities. In these positions, he supported the evaluation of real estate assets, coordinated on-site construction activities, and contributed to the execution of development projects across multiple asset types.
Mr. Garzon earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Auburn University Harbert College of Business. He is originally from Birmingham, Alabama.
